A CONSERVATIVE LEADER WITH A COMMON-SENSE PLATFORM
Career and Military Readiness
Tom Warren believes our school district should do everything it can to prepare our students for their futures beyond the classroom. Tom strongly supports funding, growing, and expanding career and technology education courses in our schools and access to military programs.
Supporting Amarillo Teachers
Tom Warren is the son of an Amarillo ISD educator and believes strongly that our school district should make a commitment to supporting our hardworking educators. Tom will work diligently to ensure that our educators are rewarded and recognized for their hard work and contributions to building the future of Amarillo.
Fiscal Responsibility
Tom Warren knows that our school district is incredibly important to our community, but believes that AISD should live within its means and avoid bond elections and debt issuances. Tom believes we can do more with what we have available and within the bounds provided by existing state law and will not support adding additional debt to the backs of local taxpayers.
Promoting Panhandle Values
Tom Warren knows that education is about more than completing classes and getting that piece of paper at the end of the degree plan. Tom will do everything he can to prepare our students to be patriotic, successful, and engaged members of the community after they leave the classroom – well in line with our Panhandle values.
Casting a Vision for the Future
As Amarillo ISD navigates school closures and budgetary concerns, Tom Warren believes now is the time to cast a bold vision for our district’s future. Tom will work diligently with key stakeholders to ensure that AISD’s plan for the future brings every neighborhood into the fold and goes the extra mile to accomplish our district’s necessary goals of adequately preparing students for life beyond the classroom.
